The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has rolled out schemes that provide the residents of the state access to affordable houses conveniently. The MHADA lottery is one such housing scheme that offers over 1350 low-cost residential properties to the eligible applicants based on their income.

As per the outcome of the maharashtra lottery result, the authority will hand over 126 flats to LIG (low-income group) applicants, 201 allotted to MIG (middle-income group) and 194 units to HIG (high-income group). Applicants can easily avail a home loan to meet the financial requirements to purchase such affordable housing solutions. It is similar to the RERA Maharashtra scheme, the only difference being the basic eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria For This Lottery Scheme
  1. Applicant must be above 18 years of age
  2. Applicant should be a resident of Maharashtra
  3. PAN card is needed
  4. Applicant must be a salaried professional
Note that, an individual cannot apply for the Maharashtra Lottery scheme if he/she is already a beneficiary of any other Indian government housing schemes. Eligible income slabs to avail this scheme –
  • Applicant can apply for LIG flats if the monthly income is within Rs. 25000-50000.
  • Applicants are eligible for MIG flats provided your monthly income is between Rs. 50,001-75000.
  • If the applicant’s monthly income is over Rs. 75000, he/she can apply for HIG flats.
