As per the latest policies, every household in India can purchase up to 12 LPG gas cylinders every year at a subsidized rate. The subsidy amount on these cylinders that the individual buys is credited directly into his/her bank account every month. However, to get the subsidy in the bank account, the individual’s LPG connection must be linked to his/her Aadhar card.

So, how can you link your Aadhar card and LPG connection? Linking Aadhar card with the Gas agency can be done in a few simple steps: -

Step 1: First of all, log on to the official Aadhar seeding website. The link to the website is https://rasf.uidai.gov.in/seeding/User/ResidentSelfSeedingpds.aspx
Once you are on the website, click on the ‘start now’ button and you will be directed to the online application form to link Aadhaar to LPG.

Step 2: Fill the application form and make sure all the information shared is correct. Choose the benefit type as 'LPG' and also share the scheme name.

Step 3: Once you are done with sharing the information, submit the application and enter the OTP you receive on your registered mobile number and submit the application. Once the application is submitted, the officers will verify the details and do the needful.

Few things to remember before linking Aadhar card and LPG Connection:-

The subsidy amount will be available only to the person who is registered with the gas agency as the owner of the connection. Therefore, the Aadhar card is linked with the gas agency must belong to the real owner of the connection. Plus, the owner must have a bank account on their name to be able to receive the LPG subsidy.
