Steps To Create UAN For Your PF Account
UAN or Universal Account Number is an essential number as the entire EPF or Employee Provident Fund process is not online. With the UAN managing and tracking your EPF balance without the help of an employer and PF application becomes easier.
Here are the steps to create UAN -
- Visit the UAN member portal in the official website of EPFO, India.
- Open the link - UAN Allotment. You can find it at the bottom right of the website.
- On the screen that appears next, enter your Aadhaar number, re-check carefully for accuracy and proceed to click ‘Generate OTP’. You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number for verification.
- Next, enter the OTP in the tab that appears below, accept the Disclaimer, and finally, click on ‘Submit’.
- Details against the provided Aadhaar number will appear on the screen. You can check the same and enter essential data wherever required. Once done, enter the captcha, agree on the Disclaimer and click ‘Register’ button.
- Your UAN will be generated and displayed instantly on the screen.
The documents required for the process are -
- Details of your bank account including branch details, account number, IFSC code, etc.
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- ESIC card (Employee State Insurance Corporation)
- Address proof like utility bill, ration card, etc.
- Identity proof like passport, driving license, Voter ID, etc.
